Terms of Service & Pre-Launch Reservation Policy
Welcome to Drive Degree™. These Terms govern your use of the Drive Degree website, free educational resources, early-access programs, and any pre-launch reservation you place for future Driving Degree™ software or simulator products. Driving Degree™ simulator products are currently in development and are not yet available for general use. Please read these Terms carefully before placing a paid reservation.
🛡️ Pre-Launch Reservation & Billing Transparency
A $5 reservation does not purchase immediate access to a Driving Degree™ simulator product. It reserves early access to the selected future product and demonstrates your interest while the platform is being developed. The $5 reservation is fully refundable before you approve the final product purchase. If you later decide to complete the purchase, the $5 will be credited toward the price of your selected product. No remaining product balance is charged today. When your selected product becomes available, Drive Degree will contact you before requesting any additional payment. You decide whether to proceed.
1. Planned Pricing & Product Reservations
Drive Degree™ offers advance pre-launch reservations to hold your spot for future software downloads, cloud streaming subscriptions, or physical hardware simulator packages:
- PC Native Edition (Planned price: $50 one-time): A $5 refundable reservation is paid today. If you later approve the purchase, the $5 reservation credit leaves a $45 remaining product balance, plus any applicable taxes.
- Web Edition (Planned price: $50 per month): A $5 refundable reservation is paid today. If you later approve activation, the $5 reservation credit leaves $45 for the first month, plus applicable taxes. Note: Approving the initial Web Edition subscription authorizes the disclosed recurring monthly subscription thereafter until canceled. The original $5 reservation by itself does not authorize recurring subscription charges. Any usage limits, additional-usage charges, technical requirements, or other material subscription conditions will be disclosed to you before you approve activation.
- Turn-Key Cockpit (Planned price: $5,000): A $5 refundable reservation is paid today. If you later approve the purchase, the reservation credit leaves a $4,995 product balance. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, delivery conditions, assembly details, and other material fulfillment terms will be disclosed before the final purchase is approved.
2. Final Purchase Approval
When the selected Driving Degree™ product is ready for purchase, Drive Degree will contact the reservation holder using the email address provided. The customer will be given the applicable price, product terms, and any material additional charges or conditions before deciding whether to proceed.
The remaining product balance will not be charged merely because a $5 reservation was placed. The customer must explicitly approve the final purchase or subscription activation. Drive Degree will provide advance notice and obtain explicit approval before processing the remaining product balance.
3. Reservation Cancellation & Refund
The $5 pre-launch reservation is fully refundable at any time before the customer approves the final product purchase or subscription activation.
To request cancellation, contact Drive Degree Customer Support using the contact information on this page. Drive Degree will initiate approved reservation refunds promptly to the original payment method. After the refund is initiated, the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require several business days to post the credit.
4. Payment Processing & Transaction Authority
Payments are processed through Stripe. Drive Degree does not directly receive or store customers' complete raw payment-card numbers on its own website servers. Payment information is handled through Stripe's payment infrastructure in accordance with Stripe's applicable security and privacy practices.
Storing or providing a payment method does not authorize Drive Degree to charge the remaining product balance without the customer's required final approval. By placing a paid reservation or completing a future purchase, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and have the legal authority required to enter into the applicable transaction.
5. Educational Use & Simulator Disclaimer
Driving Degree™ is developing educational simulation tools intended to supplement driver education, hazard-perception training, and driving practice. The website's quizzes, educational materials, and any future simulator products are educational tools and are not themselves driver's licenses, state examinations, or guarantees that a user will pass a permit test or road test. Simulation is a supplement rather than a substitute for any legally required supervised driving, professional instruction, licensing requirements, or official examinations.
Drive Degree™ is an independent educational company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any state Department of Motor Vehicles, Secretary of State office, driver-licensing agency, or other government entity unless a specific future partnership is expressly identified.
6. Scientific & Performance Expectations
References on the Drive Degree website to simulator-training research, hazard-perception studies, crash-risk studies, or other scientific findings describe independent published research. Unless expressly stated otherwise, those research results were not produced by testing the unreleased Driving Degree™ product and do not guarantee identical outcomes for individual users.
7. Intellectual Property & Permitted Personal Use
The Drive Degree™ name, branding, original website content, original educational materials, and original software or media created by Drive Degree are owned by Drive Degree or its applicable licensors. Certain technology, software components, assets, trademarks, or other materials may be owned by or licensed from third parties and remain subject to their respective rights and licenses.
You may print or use designated practice tests, flashcards, quizzes, and downloadable educational materials for your own personal, noncommercial study. Unauthorized commercial resale or mass redistribution is prohibited.
8. Future Product Purchase, Subscription, Refund & Return Terms
The $5 pre-launch reservation refund policy described above is effective now. Separate terms governing final software purchases, cloud subscriptions, hardware shipping, cancellations, returns, and post-purchase refunds will be disclosed before customers are asked to approve their final purchase or subscription activation.
Those terms may vary by product and will include any material refund windows, return conditions, subscription cancellation rules, usage limits, compatibility requirements, shipping charges, or other applicable conditions. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
9. Feedback & Suggestions
If you voluntarily send Drive Degree suggestions, feature ideas, comments, or other product feedback, you give Drive Degree permission to consider and use that feedback to develop or improve its products and services without an obligation to compensate you for doing so.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Drive Degree shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our currently available free educational tools or our future Driving Degree™ simulator products. All currently available website materials and interactive practice tools are provided "as is" without implied warranties of any kind.
11. Modifications to Terms
Drive Degree may update these Terms as the website, reservation program, products, pricing, legal requirements, or business operations evolve. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes affecting a customer's final purchase will be disclosed before that customer is asked to approve the applicable purchase or subscription.
